This professional designation sets you apart in healthcare as a professional with specialized knowledge and competence in key areas at the heart of effective patient safety programs. The International Board for Certification of Safety Managers developed the CPSO credential in 2006 to meet a need for a practical but professional certification in patient safety.
LHA Trust Funds is pleased to offer the CPSO training course, test prep, and exam. Candidates for the CPSO exam must demonstrate their understanding of the concepts and principles vital to patient safety progress and innovation on the exam. Exam takers must meet specific experience requirements.
This is a self-study curriculum followed by a two-day class. Day one is comprised of instructor-led test prep. Day two is a half-day final review wrap-up followed by the exam, which is proctored by the instructor.

Domain 3: Patient Risks, Agencies and Standards
This domain is related to ethical professional practice in evaluating patient risks including the application of, and adherence to compliance, accreditation and voluntary/consensus standards.
