OVERVIEW
Ultraviolent light (UVC) is a method of disinfection that can help augment the current infection prevention program within your organization. This type of light, also known as a “germicidal” lamp, has the ability to reduce the spread of dangerous bacteria and superbugs.
Improving your infection prevention strategies is an important component in making your patients feel safe in your care. Infection control expert Taylor Cottano discusses UVC light technology, how it works, and how your organization can enhance HCAHPS scores through its implementation.

Mr. Cottano has both a bachelor’s degree in biology and nursing both earned from Louisiana College. Mr. Cottano has previous experience as a front-line nurse specializing in critical care in both medical and surgical intensive care settings.
